How the math works
Each clock time becomes minutes after midnight. End minus start is the gross shift. If end is earlier than start, the calculator adds 24 hours (overnight). Unpaid lunch is subtracted last. Decimal hours = remaining minutes ÷ 60.

Pick Regular, Morning, Evening, or Night. Evening and Night default to 1.5× pay; you can set 1×, 1.5×, or 2× to match your job. Hours stayed the same; only pay changes. This is your workplace rate, not a federal rule.
Does this include taxes?
Yes, as an estimate. Type a tax % (federal + state). Optionally keep FICA 7.65% (Social Security + Medicare). Uncheck FICA if you only want the percentage. This is not a tax return or payroll software.
Does this handle overnight shifts?
Yes. 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM with a 30-minute break is 7:30.
